The law practice of Jeffrey M. Herrmann serves domestic and foreign clients and emphasizes all aspects of international law including Real Property, Trusts and Estates, Commercial Transactions, Taxation, International Trade, Corporate Law and Litigation and Arbitration.

Mr. Herrmann is fluent in the German language.

In his trusts and estates practice, Mr. Herrmann has handled a number of estates of New York decedents, where the beneficiaries have been located in places such as Germany, Northern Ireland, California, Colorado and South Carolina. Mr. Herrmann has been appointed by the Surrogate Judges of New York, Bronx and Westchester counties as a guardian ad litem to represent the interests of persons under a disability, such as those under the age of eighteen.

Mr. Herrmann is a member of the bar of the State of New York and all of the United States Courts are located in New York City. He is a graduate of Hunter College and the Cornell University Law School. He has represented many German speaking European business entities in the United States and since 2007 has been representing the North American branch of a multinational French luxury goods company. He is also experienced in the representation of European public entities, which see to the interests of their respective countries, in the United States.

Mr. Herrmann, has for many years been a member of the board of directors of the United States Austrian Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the American Bar Association (International Law Section); the New York State Bar Association (International Law Section), the New York City Bar Association and its European Affairs committee. In June of 2013 he attended a joint meeting in Frankfurt, Germany of the ABA International Law Section and the Deutscher Anwalt Verein, (German Bar Association). In March of 2015, he attended a Europe Forum meeting of the ABA International Law Section, in Berlin. He is the author of an Article on the subject of Recognition of Foreign Money Judgments in New York, published by the Austrian Federal Chamber of Commerce in its Internationale Wirtschaft ("International Trade") magazine and was the instructor in a New York City Law Department Continuing Legal Education Course on the subject of Enforcement of Sister State and Foreign Money Judgements in New York. He has served as an arbitrator at the VIS Moot Arbitration in Vienna, a law student competition drawing teams from law schools all over the world. He has also traveled extensively in Austria speaking in German on the topic, Rechtsfragen beim Geschaft in den Vereinigten Staten (Legal questions when doing business in the United States) at the Federal Chamber of Commerce in Vienna and has made similar visits to the provincial Chambers of Commerce in Graz, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Feldkirch.
